My name is Scott Evans and I am a paleobiologist at Florida State. Growing up in upstate New York, I loved exploring local rock deposits and collecting ancient marine creatures preserved as fossils. Today, I study fossils of soft-bodied organisms from around the world to learn everything from why they are preserved, to how they functioned, to what they can tell us about the history of life and changing conditions on Earth.
